The Birth of Melaap

As someone who has studied the occult for many years, I used to view Tarot simply as a variation of fortune-telling and never had any intention of delving deep into it. The birth of this website, in truth, was an arrangement of Destiny.

Through a stroke of fate, I was asked to do a reading for someone with a Life Path 8 and a Soul Urge 8. Not being a professional reader, I nonchalantly used basic fortune-telling techniques to draw the cards. Typically, to read for someone, I have to forge a connection with them before drawing.

My curiosity ended alongside that session, yet the card-drawing app remained open in a browser tab.

It was just another ordinary workday. Out of boredom, I clicked to test if the reading feature was still working. At that moment, my mind was a total blank as I asked a random question about my career.

Five cards appeared—completely unrelated to my current career, but strikingly closer to the person I had previously read for.

That night, I woke up with a leg cramp, only to realize in shock that my heart rate was dangerously low—my resting heart rate had dropped below 50. Tracking it over the next few days, my normal heart rate hovered around 70, resting at 50–60, with blood oxygen at 99%. These were impossible metrics, or at least ones that had never occurred in a sedentary person like me.

I lead an extremely regulated and disciplined life; the only anomaly was that Tarot reading. Observing closely, I also noticed symptoms of manic-depressive mood swings during those days—equally bizarre for someone as restrained as I am.

Driven by these strange occurrences, I began reading more about Numerology. Along with Tarot, this was another realm I previously knew nothing about. The results revealed that I am destined to leave behind a spiritual legacy; otherwise, the spiritual realm will simply keep knocking on my door.

Truth be told, ever since I was small, many masters have urged me to pursue fortune-telling because of my strong spiritual affinity. But I’ve always been someone who prefers what can be measured, touched, and held.

Que sera, sera. What will be, will be. If it is fate, then it is time to pay my dues to destiny.

And that is how Melaap came to be.
