I almost asked the question everyone asks: does he still love me? The reader waited, and I heard how small that question made me sound. So I changed it: what is this bond trying to teach me now that we have been silent for years?
Present: The Lovers. Challenge: The Devil. Past: Death. Future: The Star. Advice: Temperance. The spread did not order me back into his life. It showed the old attachment, the ending I kept negotiating with, and the possibility of hope only after my grip softened.
Three months later we met for coffee. There was warmth, but not the old hunger to prove the story had to continue. That was the reading's real gift: I could see him clearly because I was no longer using him to rescue the past.
A question for you
If you were in a similar situation, what would you need to see more clearly before deciding?
