Seven of Pentacles and a Year of Building

A year into my side project, still no profit. The Seven of Pentacles kept appearing in my monthly readings. My reader told me: this is a card of assessment, not failure.

It showed me a figure pausing in their labor, taking stock of what they've sown. Not resting from exhaustion, but evaluating with an honest eye. The card asked me: Are you tending to something real? Or chasing a phantom?

I had to sit with that question. The answer was yes—something real was growing, even if I couldn't yet hold its fruit in my hands.

In the thirteenth month, the first paying client arrived. Small, but enough to tell me I was moving in rhythm with something true.
